Complete relaxation and way above what I expected Glamping to be.

Another fantastic stay at Turon Gates, and first time sharing this beautiful place with our kids. They loved the cabin - complete with toys and books, a travel cot and high chair all arranged before us arriving! (Such a welcome touch considering we had a 5 hour journey to get there.) This is such a special place, you can't find this sort of solitude just anywhere, and the even though it was absolutely freezing outside, we had a roaring log fire to keep even our 14 month old happy and cozy at night. The kids loved waking up to kangaroos grazing around our cabin and couldn't get enough of the native birds. We've been coming for years as a couple and it's so nice to now be able to share this place with our family.

We were looking for a quiet place to celebrate our second anniversary and found out about Turon Gates through a friend. When we arrived the first thing we though was that the fields were really dried since it has barely rained this winter. When we finally got to the cabin we loved the outside, with a campfire spot already set up, a wood barbecue and the river next to us. We got inside the cabin and loved it from the first minute. A bottle of wine and a sample of local honey was there to welcome us. The main bedroom had a very comfy king size bed, and the bathroom was very new and clean. I liked the simplicity of the country style decoration. Best bit of the inside, the wood stove. We used it in the morning and at night time. Very peaceful and quiet, amazing clear view of the stars at night and nice little treks to do around the area. The only fault I could find it was that the landscape was very dry, but nothing to blame on the Turon Gates lovely owners. Thanks for having us!

A great hideaway from the daily grind. Fresh air and ample space. Rented the three bedroom moonlight ridge cabin with friends. Peaceful. Firm but comfortable bed. With really cosy fireplace and spa bath. Owner are a pleasure to deal with and no fuss or hassle at all. Definitely would come again. Winter time is perfect for a place like this.

Campsite was well maintained, amenities block top-notch with modern toilets and showers, cooking area also well kept. Not much water in the river at the moment so probably not worth canoeing. As a suggestion, could probably hire out canoes for the kids to muck about in the water for a discounted rate. Beautiful surrounding bush with all manner of wildlife including wild goat. The walking track is also a gem and I would highly recommend the place for birdwatchers as this area occupies a similar niche to the adjacent world famous Capertee Valley. Will be returning soon.
